A Place for Kids to be Kids
The Todos Together Play Center is perfectly and purposefully designed for children to learn through play. Themes change with the seasons. Children and their caretakers can take advantage of opportunities to learn and grow through the purposeful display of stimulating materials and meaningful interactions in the Todos Together Play Center. The Reggio-Emilia approach to early childhood recognizes the physical environment as a teacher in and of itself, and the Play Center is just that. The rotating exhibits purposefully engage children in a particular theme as they explore, create, and wonder over the materials presented. In the Play Center, children have the opportunity to express themselves with more than “100 languages” including art, movement, construction, imagination, sensory play, scientific inquiry, and more.
El centro de juegos Todos Together está diseñado a la perfección para que los niños aprendan jugando. Los temas cambian con las estaciones. Los niños y sus cuidadores pueden aprovechar las oportunidades de aprendizaje y crecimiento mediante la exhibición intencionada de materiales estimulantes y la interacción significativa con los guías del laboratorio. El enfoque Reggio Emilia para la niñez temprana reconoce el entorno físico como un maestro en sí mismo. Basándose en la filosofía Reggio Emilia y la idea de un taller, el Laboratorio de Aprendizaje contará con exhibiciones rotativas para involucrar intencionadamente a los niños en un concepto o tema en particular mientras exploran, crean y se maravillan con las propuestas de los guías.
Imagination Station
The ability to imagine is unique to humans and essential for development. By playing pretend, children are able to try out different roles, problem-solve, and make sense of their world. The imagination station is designed to promote imaginary play by introducing materials and concepts that reflect the current Play Center theme. It is a place to travel the world, take on a new identity, explore new settings, and most importantly, play.
La capacidad de imaginar es exclusiva de los seres humanos y esencial para el desarrollo. Mediante el juego simbólico, los niños pueden experimentar con diferentes roles, resolver problemas y comprender el mundo que les rodea. El rincón de la imaginación está diseñado para fomentar el juego imaginativo, introduciendo materiales y conceptos que reflejan la temática actual del centro de juegos. Es un lugar para viajar por el mundo, adoptar una nueva identidad, explorar nuevos escenarios y, sobre todo, jugar.
Motor Development
Whether stacking, connecting, building, evading obstacles, weaving, cutting, peeling, squeezing, or molding, children are always active in the Motor Development area of the Play Center. They learn to manipulate materials with their bodies, forming important brain-body connections. Each gross and fine motor invitation is presented with muscle development in mind. This area allows children to express themselves with their bodies while working with many different materials.
Ya sea apilando, conectando, construyendo, esquivando obstáculos, tejiendo, cortando, pelando, apretando o moldeando, los niños siempre están activos en el área de Desarrollo Motor del Centro de Juegos. Aprenden a manipular materiales con sus cuerpos, estableciendo importantes conexiones entre el cerebro y el cuerpo. Cada actividad, tanto gruesa como fina, se presenta teniendo en cuenta el desarrollo muscular. Esta zona permite a los niños expresarse con sus cuerpos mientras trabajan con muchos materiales diferentes.
Art Corner
Art allows children to express themselves in so many ways. By giving access to a variety of materials and media, the Art Corner invites children to communicate in their own way. Here they are able to paint, draw, etch, sculpt, design, print, cut, and paste whatever is speaking to and through them. It is an essential part of the Learning LAB and serves as the Atelier from which all inspiration grows.
El arte permite a los niños expresarse de muchas maneras. Al brindarles acceso a una variedad de materiales y técnicas, el Rincón de Arte los invita a comunicarse a su manera. Aquí pueden pintar, dibujar, grabar, esculpir, diseñar, imprimir, recortar y pegar todo aquello que les inspire. Es una parte esencial del Laboratorio de Aprendizaje y funciona como el taller del que surge toda la inspiración.
Discover Science
Observation and Investigation are at the heart of the Discover Science area at the Learning LAB. Children are introduced to scientific tools and invited to take a closer look at the natural world. It is here that children discover how to wonder, ask questions, and seek answers through experiences designed to add an experimental elements to each theme.
La observación y la investigación son fundamentales en el área de Descubre la Ciencia del Laboratorio de Aprendizaje. Los niños se familiarizan con las herramientas científicas y se les invita a observar con detenimiento el mundo natural. Aquí descubren cómo maravillarse, formular preguntas y buscar respuestas a través de experiencias diseñadas para incorporar elementos experimentales a cada tema.
